Signed to Suretone Records in early ’07, From First to Last recently completed their first release for the label with veteran producer Josh Abraham, who has logged time behind the boards with Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To mars and many more. With mixing duties handled by Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Velvet Revolver), the album is set for release early next spring. The band recently returned to the core line-up of their early days, with co-founding guitarist Matt Good stepping up to handle lead vocals and co-founder/guitarist Travis Richter and new permanent member/bassist Matt Manning handling additional vocals. Drummer Derek Bloom remains behind the skins.

Los Angeles-based From First to Last was founded by Good and Richter in 2002, when the two had bands that played together in Florida. A revolving line-up with post-hardcore punk and metal influences was documented on their 2003 EP Aesthetic, which saw the addition of Bloom. Their 2004 Epitaph debut Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count marked the entrance of singer Sonny Moore. Producer Ross Robinson (Korn, The Cure) and ex-Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland joined the band for the recording of 2006’s Heroine, which made Kerrang! Magazines “Top 20 Albums of 2006.�?
