Hey-lo Everyone!
I hope you’re all doing well.
This is Sali with some more Suretone updates. (woot!!)
Last Thursday (Jan. 29), I went to see Shwayze perform at Club Nokia in Downtown LA and let me just say… it was FAN-TASTIC. The venue fits 2300 people, and I’m pretty sure it was close to being filled that night. Shwayze went on at 9:15pm and the second Cisco&Shwayze walked on stage, the crowd went WILD! They played a pretty nice setlist including “Rich Girls” and “Gotta Go” off their new mixtape… but my FAVORITE song of the night was a NEW ONE that they played off of their upcoming album. I don’t know what it’s going to be called… but for now, we can call it… SHWAY-MAZING.
Make sure you catch these boys when they make a stop in your town because they definitely know how to put on a show!

On another note, there are currently TWO Drop Dead, Gorgeous contests going on!! One on buzznet.com and one on smartpunk.com.

Attention Shwayze fans - the band is now in the studio recording their new album! Check out an update from Cisco below”
“yo people whats up…
we are officially in the studio recording the new SHWAYZE album!!!!!
we are very excited as u can see by the amount of exclamation marks i used on that last sentence up there. We are in the writing/demo-ing process and its going great. Jordan came by this week to listen to a bunch of idea and now he’s just as excited as us typing with exclamation points a plenty. The clouds in the studio are billowy and round with a slight scent of pine. The hat on my head is grey and has a faux alligator stap. I’ve got 10 guitars, 5 keyboards, and a Bessie, my mexican bass. Our buddy Beardo came in the other day to lay down some guitar tracks adn killed it. The tune I told ya’ll about a while ago called “Make a lil more” is now as fat as a Swedish baby. We also just ran into our boy Terry out in NYC who plays drums with Santo Gold and Spank Rock and he’s gonna fly out to get on a few tracks. GONNA BE ILL! The weather outside is a but blah but sometimes the shade is welcomed. I blew out one of my GENELEC speaks in the studio so I’m goonna head to town to track some monitors down. Love and peace.

Hello everyone!
First off, it’s almost February!!! Where did January go?! I feel like New Years was yesterday.
Second, an introduction…
My name is Sali and I have been interning at Suretone since October. I will hopefully be a student at USC this coming Fall majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Theatre. I love music, going to shows, and hanging out with my friends and family… but, enough about me!
Lastly, an office update!
Everyone has been really busy trying to get ready for the Drop Dead, Gorgeous tour which kicks off on the 24th (only two days away!) in Sanger, CA at The Venue.

If you haven’t checked out their tour dates yet, look in the “Tour” section of the Suretone website. You can also find more information at www.myspace.com/dropdeadgorgeous and www.dropdeadgorgeousrock.com
You can help promote for their tour by joining the Suretone Crew (if you haven’t already…) and signing up for the current DD,G project where you can print out a flyer for your specific show date and tell everyone about it!
ALSO! On the topic of Drop Dead, Gorgeous… they just posted a BRAND NEW SONG on their myspace!!! You should definitely check it out and let the guys know what you think by leaving a comment. myspace.com/dropdeadgorgeous

On a final, FINAL note…
I haven’t been able to stop listening to Shwayze’s Rich Girls Mixtape.
My top two favorite songs (at the moment) are “What Am I Doing Here?” and “What Kind Of Car Do You Drive?”
…just thought I’d share.
Take it easy,
Love Dirt Neezy Sali.
Shwayze took over Farmingdale, NY on Tuesday night, October 7th. Check out a live report from the show:
” On Tuesday night Clubloaded.com presents Shwayze live at the Crazy Donkey and it was insane as the boys from Cali invaded Long Island! The club was packed and by showtime 47 pieces of the CD had been sold for the Buy’n’Meet after the show!
When the boys of Shwayze hit the stage the crowd was so loud I had to go to the back of the club, those girls screams were ear piercing! “What’s up Long Island”, “Are you ready to get f_ _ _ _ed up or what”! Yelled Cisco and it was on! Shwayze had everybody singing along to not just the singles but album cuts; such as, “James Brown Is Dead”, “Poloaroid” and “Mary Jane”! By the time they got to “Corona and Lime” and “Buzzin” the crowd was going bananas; they were stage driving, crowd surfing, girls were doing things my daughter will not be allowed to do! So basically it was an exciting time at the Donkey!

After their set Shwayze and opening act Tyga signed autographs for about 40-50 fans. Each of the crew hugged and gave pounds (handshakes) to fans and signed booklets, t-shirts, body parts, etc. After it was all said and done Shwayze and Long Island went home pleased. Thanks to Frank Molinaro from the Cop Shop and David Brown for coming out to support Shwayze at the show and helping me with the line for the buy’n’meet.

A message from Shwayze:
“We have decided to pull off of METROSTATION tour. We wish METRO the best and are very sorry if any of you already bought tickets to the shows to see us. The decision is strictly due to scheduling and timing and we had no choice. We will be posting up new tour dates as soon as we can and we promise we will be making it to see you guys wherever you are very soon. Stay tuned…we love you. In the meantime crack open a Corona and Lime and turn up the music…summer never ends.”

Well we just have a couple of shows left on this One Republic tour, Bristol and Birmingham. I can honestly say the response on this tour has been amazing, the best we have had. It has been great coming outside after the shows and getting to meet everyone, we really appreciate people taking the time.
Aside from the tyre blowout we had on the motorway before the Manchester show things have been very smooth, If we had been going a bit faster in an outer lane, things could have been bad, but we eventually got to Manchester safe and sound and had a great show, lets just say we felt like the luckiest band alive that day. All of the One Republic guys have been great, as a singer, watching Ryan do his stuff every night is inspiring, does get me questioning my own ability though! All of the crew have been great too, also you should check out the other band that are on the road with us, they’re called ‘A Silent Film’ very cool guys, very cool songs.
We have been keeping day to day video diaries on this tour which we will post when we get home, also taking plenty of photos.
Quick thanks to everyone at BBC Radio Solent for having us on the show in Southampton, and to Jade who interviewed us before the Manchester show.
So its a shame its almost over, but all good things. Hopefully the final shows will be as great as the rest, im sure they will be, speak to you soon. DW
