An Update from ECC…

Hello to everyone out there in Suretone Land. Eastern Conference Champions is back in Los Angeles and well rested after a two month tour in the UK and Europe. For the past couple of weeks we’ve caught up on some well needed sleep, re-adjusted to sunshine and clear skies, learned how to drive on the right side of the road again and been busy working on a bunch of new songs.

Here are a couple things that are currently occupying the mind of ECC at the moment that we would like to share with you:

- Vern no longer resembles a character from the movie Spinal Tap, he shaved off his moustashe. This is huge news in our world. It took Josh and Greg a good five minutes to recognize baby Vern again, but he’s the same fella and his bass playing isn’t affected at all just as we hoped. He is alot smoother though, no doubt.

- ECC is launching a major offensive against Coke Zero and the unoriginal bastards at the Coca-Cola Company. Check out the pictures posted in the ECC
Blog Archives and you will see that the dude in the billboard ads looks EXACTLY like animated Josh in our video for “The Box”. It is ridiculous. We plan on documenting our battle (Michael Moore style) so everyone can decide for themselves. We’re not afraid of them, we drink RC Cola anyway.

- We also have tons of footage from our tour and plan on making another homemade video in the near future. This one will have nothing to do with multinational
corporations but instead focus solely on three smelly Americans and their encounters playing music in places far away from home. So far the new songs are taking precedent over the boatload of editing we have to do, but we hope to have it done soon.

“You have been upgraded to a Mercedes, but we will fuck you on the insurance and there is nothing you can do about it. Good day.”

That was how our rental car experience started. After having a blast in London for five days, ECC was getting ready to begin the tour to the cities in the North. We’re trying to save money so were driving ourselves again (which we said we would never ever do again) and in a Mercedes no less. That bitch has some power, but its pretty ridiculous to see ECC crammed into a beautiful car they definitely shouldn’t be in with a bunch of gear and merch. We were begging for the Ford Focus but the bastards wouldn’t let us take it. Funny but very true.

Right now we’re enjoying our first day off in two weeks in Glasgow. Our laptops were left at home and internet access has been hard to come by so we apologize for the late blogging but we’ll try to give you a brief recap of the tour so far….

“You need to get an agent in line over there! People are cutting in and it’s not fucking fair”! That’s how the trip started. Some crazy woman at the airport flipping out in the Air France ticketing line. The French were not happy. Eastern Conference Champions was very amused.

So we made it to the UK. Safe and sound. Played two kickass shows in London, one at the Barfly and another at the Good Mixer. We’ll try to set up a little recap of the action so far….
