Mack here and I’m missing the Mid-West this week. This is the first year, in four years, that I didn’t return to Saint Mary’s University of Winona, Minnesota. As strange as it sounds, I miss the hot and humid move of the new school year. SMU could never let me down and sent me something to put a smile on my face. When I opened my email today, the Admission office Amabasstor Co-Diretors sent me an email about their Shwayze viewing and listening party! I had to share the fun SMU event.

As SMU ambassador training came to an end it was time to relax. What better way to kick back after training but to watch “Buzzin” on MTV! The viewing party was held in SMU’s common room. The ambassadors munched on pizza, popcorn and candy. The SMU crew hung out afterwards and enjoyed Shwayze’s debuted Album “Shwayze”.

Megan Radke, SMU admissions counselor, wrote in her email; “The ambassadors thought it [Buzzin] was hilarious and fought over who got to keep the Schwayze CD. Things were ugly there for a minute but Aubs [SMU admissions counselor] and I were in control at all times.” I Hope you all enjoy the picks of the viewing party.

Hey lovely people, its Mack just checking in before the weekend. I have to say there are definately benefits to working for Suretone Records. Tomorrow I will be starting my weekend early at Van’s Warped Tour in Pomona, California. I’m stoked to see the summer hit “Buzzin” performed by Shwayze and Cisco Adler; live music is always better than listening to MP3. This year’s Warped Tour line up is sick. Another personal favorite, Angels and Airwaves, will hit the Warped stage tomorrow. The weather is supposed to be smothering, the music should be stellar and I can’t think of a better way to start my weekend early. If you can’t make it out tomorrow you should check out Vans Warped Tour Sunday, June 21st in Ventura, California or check out other dates in your neck of the woods. I hope I will see a ton of you at the show; otherwise, check you later.

Hey lovely people, it’s Mackenzie the new girl at Suretone. I’ve just moved from the mid-west to California. I love new music and being immersed with new genres. The
access to live shows is something I’ve been looking forward to all year. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue to entertain and inform all of you!

Shwayze-
Right before I left the chummy mid-west Shwayze finally hit the airwaves with “Buzzin.” Before I knew it my Facebook was full of friends reactions to their first radio listen of the release. I should probably mention I was a street team rep for Suretone this past year at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota. The school was “Buzzin” all year long. It’s great to know that Shwayze has finally hit the mid-west just in time to be the new beach song for the summer. My grandmother even finds it “hip”! I’m certainly excited to see Shwayze’s experiences on MTV’s Buzzin!

The Black Angels-
The Black Angels made their return to the Troubadour in Los Angeles this past Thursday. Their set was nothing less than enchanting with its eclectic guitar riffs, raspy lyrics, and throw back groovy drops. In case the music didn’t say enough there were plenty of suggestive statements to further stimulate your mind. The constant instrumental role change never affected the show and in essence kept me interested to see just how many different roles each member could fluently play. All in all it was a spectacular show that everyone should see.
