Black Angels @ The Troubadour

The Black Angels At The Troubadour In Los Angeles (6/5/08)
photo credit: Timothy Norris for LA Weekly

Hey lovely people, it’s Mackenzie the new girl at Suretone. I’ve just moved from the mid-west to California. I love new music and being immersed with new genres. The
access to live shows is something I’ve been looking forward to all year. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue to entertain and inform all of you!

Shwayze Album Cover

Shwayze-
Right before I left the chummy mid-west Shwayze finally hit the airwaves with “Buzzin.” Before I knew it my Facebook was full of friends reactions to their first radio listen of the release. I should probably mention I was a street team rep for Suretone this past year at Saint Mary’s University in Minnesota. The school was “Buzzin” all year long. It’s great to know that Shwayze has finally hit the mid-west just in time to be the new beach song for the summer. My grandmother even finds it “hip”! I’m certainly excited to see Shwayze’s experiences on MTV’s Buzzin!

The Black Angels
The Black Angels-

The Black Angels made their return to the Troubadour in Los Angeles this past Thursday. Their set was nothing less than enchanting with its eclectic guitar riffs, raspy lyrics, and throw back groovy drops. In case the music didn’t say enough there were plenty of suggestive statements to further stimulate your mind. The constant instrumental role change never affected the show and in essence kept me interested to see just how many different roles each member could fluently play. All in all it was a spectacular show that everyone should see.
