From First To Last’s new album elaborates on the band’s existing punk musical aggression with a warmer, more approachable sound without sacrificing its trademark blow-your-face-off dynamism. The new album produced by Josh Abraham, who has logged time behind the boards with Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park, 30 Seconds To Mars, etc and mixed by Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Velvet Revolver), is propelled by a maelstrom of metallic chords, stadium-sized hooks, and frenetic rhythms, all unified by powerful vocals and the band’s sense of purpose. The band returned to the core line-up of their early days, with co-founding guitarist Matt Good stepping up to handle lead vocals and co-founder/guitarist Travis Richter and new permanent member/bassist Matt Manning handling additional vocals. Drummer Derek Bloom remains behind the skins.
